Queensland’s first Escape This venue opens in the Brisbane CBD in the first half of 2027, and four of the horror rooms are on its opening list.
In short: Escape This plans to open Escape This Brisbane CBD in the first half of 2027 with four of its horror escape rooms: Cannibal, Asylum, Zombie Apocalypse and Frankenstein Resurrection. The address, prices and booking dates haven’t been announced yet.
Until now, Brisbane horror fans have had to fly south or west for an Escape This scare. That changes in the first half of 2027, when the company brings its first Queensland venue to the Brisbane CBD.
The four horror rooms on the Brisbane list are already proven elsewhere: between them they have logged 14,840 games in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne as of 25 October 2026. Brisbane will get its own builds, so its escape rates will start from zero.

Frankenstein Resurrection, once Escape This opens in Brisbane. It is the only one of the four Brisbane horror rooms open to 13-year-olds elsewhere; Cannibal, Asylum and Zombie Apocalypse are built for older, braver teams.
In the Brisbane CBD. Escape This has named the venue Escape This Brisbane CBD but hasn’t published a street address. Its page on escapethis.com.au is the place to watch, and Horrorscape will add the address and a map when it’s confirmed.
Same stories, new builds. Each Escape This venue gets its own build of a room, so Brisbane’s Cannibal, Asylum, Zombie Apocalypse and Frankenstein Resurrection will follow the originals’ plots while their records and escape rates start fresh.
Sydney CBD. Until Escape This Brisbane CBD opens in the first half of 2027, the George Street venue in Sydney is the closest place to play Cannibal, Asylum, Zombie Apocalypse or Frankenstein Resurrection, and it also runs The Possession and Buried Alive.
